Penapis Santan

Bismillah.Alhamdulillah.Allahumma solli ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammad.

It's been a long time since my last entry. At that time,I'm very passionate in writing but without any cristal clear intention, and it stops abruptly. Now,I've changed my mind and would like to write what is really being my interest. It's time for me to be matured and see the world in different perspective and live in reality.

Albeit I'm not an ustaz,I hope through my writing it can be a new platform for me to spread the words of Allah and continue my beloved Prophet Muhammad's(sollahu alaihi wasallam) teaching and akhlaq.I also would like to point out my point of view about the current issues in our ummah especially in Malaysia and also some international issues.

My writing style might change a bit but it comes from the bottom of my heart.I hope that Allah will be pleased with this scrutiny effort to uphold Islam.

The age of 20 has change me a lot in many aspects especially in my way of thinking.Recently,I had read a book that teach me to "filter"(tapis in Malay) all the information, news, rumours or issues that came out from the mass media. After I read that book,I realise that most of us,including me loves to critic, bashing and demonise other people in social media as soon as rumours spread.

In Islam, we have to tabayyun (CLICK HERE) first whenever we hear something or news. First, we must check it whether it is true or not. Second, we must be responsible for the things that we share or spread. Third, do not share it if we're not sure about it.

When we hear or know about something,"filter".Then, store that thing in your mind. You have to remember that it is good to know everything, but you have to "filter" what will come out from your mouth and also our "modern mouth" = "fingers" .

"Kerana pulut santan binasa, kerana mulut badan binasa"

"Buang yang keruh,ambil yang jernih."

Brothers and sisters,

From my experience,we tend and love to use that little "SHARE" button without "filtering" it first or get a conformation about the issue. We let our "unstable emotion" and also "whisper of the devils" to take control of our action by writing harsh, impolite, rude and discourteous words in social media like Facebook.
I have seen numerous of  comments on social media that do not reflect the attitude of a Muslim should portray. The comments sometimes dont have any connection at all with the issues. The comment space has been a place where people mock and harrass others with unsuitable words like "lahanat","sial","b**i" and many more. The worst of it is some of the commenters also mock the family of the one that is associated with the rumour.Nauuzubillahi min zalik.Nowadays, the comment space has a been place for people to enjoy "mocking" others and release their inner "beast".

I would like to give  some advices to my beloved brothers and sisters,so that to reflect our fault and sins together, and seek Allah's forgiveness for what we have done in the past."Better late than never".

Firstly,we have to make sure that the widespread rumours are true or not, before sharing or commenting on them.Islam has already teach us that if you dont know about something, find and ask the person who knows about it and have a qualification to give statement about the matter.Being a keyboard warrior does not solve the matter, but brings catastrophe to the community.

For example, the issue of labelling other Muslims as "Wahabi","Kafir","not Sunni"(bukan ahli sunnah wal jamaah) and "Syiah",is very popular in social media.I do not want to mention it,but you as a
reader maybe knows better than me right.

Secondly, the simplest and safest way is by being silent. It is better for you to say good things and if you dont have something to say, silent. If you say good things, you will get reward from Allah and if you stay silent, you'll be harmless to others.

One thing that we must amulate from the Sahabah and Salafus Soleh, dont be "SHY" and "ARROGANT" to sincerely say : "I DONT KNOW",if you really dont know about something.

Last but not least,if there any mistake in my writing,I would like to apologise and hope that you would correct me.

Even though my voice is not heard by the community, at least Allah knows my effort.

Thank you.
